Funeral arrangements for Elizabeth White, 85, of Palestine will be at 10 a.m. Friday at Chapel of the Air at Land of Memory Cemetery under the direction of Herrington/Land of Memory Funeral Home, Palestine.

Mrs. White died Tuesday at Palestine Regional Medical Center.

She was born March 1, 1920 in Palestine to Zach and Jewel Moore Hassell. She had lived in Palestine all her life and attended Palestine Healthcare Community Church. Mrs. White loved reading the Bible and was an avid gardener.

She was preceded in death by her husband, W.C. Bethel.

She is survived by her son, Edwin Bethel of Palestine; daughters, Mary Manley of Longview and Betty Bethel of Jacksonville; sisters, Mary Boone of Angleton, Grace French of Baytown and Sheri Poole of Post; three grandchildren, Donna Manley Grisham and Katy Manley, both of Longview, and Brendon Manley of College Station; and one great-grandson, Dylan Grisham of Longview.

Visitation will be from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.
