Services for W.A. “Al” Fuller, 82, of Palestine will be at 2 p.m. Monday at the Herrington/Land of Memory Chapel with the Rev. Tom Grissom officiating. Burial will follow at Roselawn Cemetery. Arrangements are under the direction of Herrington/Land of Memory.
Mr. Fuller died Saturday at Greenbrier Nursing and Rehab Center in Palestine.
He was born February 18, 1922 in Palestine to William Allison and Mozelle Perry Fuller.
Mr. Fuller graduated from Palestine High School in 1939 and then from Nixon Business College. He served in the Army Air Force in India during World War II. He worked at and was manager at Moore Motor Company from 1946 to 1988. He attended First Christian Church.
He is survived by his wife of 58 years, Mary E. Fuller of Palestine; son, Kirk Allison Fuller of Madison, Ala.; three sisters, Dorothy Booth of Austin, Grace Couch of Palestine and Jean F. Jones of Alvin; and two grandchildren, Lee Ellen Fuller and Kirk Austin Fuller.
Pallbearers will be Bob Herrington and John Hunnicutt. Honorary pallbearers will be Worth Andrews, Keith Jarrett, Bill Henderson, Howard Wood, Tom Stiwell and Jimmy Cross.
The family will receive condolences from 6 to 8 p.m. today at the funeral home.
Memorials may be made to the children’s fund at either Grace United Methodist Church or First Christian Church.
