Services for Willois Lacey Huebel, 70 of Emerald Bay at Lake Palestine will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday at First United Methodist Church in Palestine with the Revs. Wayne Rhodes and Mark Skorheim officiating. Burial will be in Roselawn Park under the direction of Bailey & Foster Funeral Home, Palestine.
Mrs. Huebel died Sunday morning in Medical Center Hospital in Tyler.
She was born September 18, 1919 in Palestine, a daughter of William David Lacey and Martha Russell Lacey.
She was a longtime resident of Houston, where she was a member of Bethany United Methodist Church. For the past eight years, she has lived at Emerald Bay in Bullard, and was a member of Emerald Bay Community Church. She was a graduate of Palestine High School in 1936 and a 1940 graduate of Southern Methodist University with a Bachelor of Arts degree.
She is survived by her husband, Leon W. Huebel of Emerald Bay; daughter, Mrs. Andrew (Martha Huebel) Wilholt of Houston; sons, William L. Huebel of LaFayette, La., and David L. Huebel of Austin; and five grandchildren.
Condolences will be received from 7 – 8 p.m. today at the funeral home.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial be made to a favorite charity.
Pallbearers will be Gordon Broyles, Luckett Kolstad, Glenn Doss, Charles Weaver, Damn Holditch, Scott Kramer, Ben Waidhofer and John Goldsmith.
