Services for Elizabeth Neel, 86, of Palestine will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday in the Bailey & Foster Chapel with the Rev. Scott Dornbush officiating. Burial will be in the Palestine City Cemetery under the direction of Bailey & Foster Funeral Home.

Mrs. Neel died Sunday in a local hospital.

She was born November 21, 1918 in Palestine to John DonHauser and Eloise Miriam Staats DonHauser.

Mrs. Neel was a homemaker, a member of the First United Methodist Church and a charter member of the Anderson County Genealogy Society.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Johnnie Neel; daughter, Susan Neel; and sister, Helen Marie Combs.

Mrs. Neel is survived by a nephew, Gordon Combs and wife Elizabeth of Meadows Place; and a niece, Cathy Hill and husband William of Houston.

Pallbearers will be Mitchel Combs, Thomas Hill, Gordon Combs and William Hill.

Condolence calls will be received from 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at Bailey & Foster Funeral Home.
