Johnnie Leroy Novak

Johnnie Leroy Novak died in July of 1977 in Santa Rosa, California. He is buried in Valley Memorial Park Cemetery in Novato, California.

Johnnie was born July 21, 1918 in Jacksonville, Texas to the late John and Rebecca Johnson Novak.  The family moved to Palestine when Johnnie was young and he graduated from Palestine High School in 1935.

He and his younger brother, Frank, both entered the Navy Air Corps in August of 1942. John served in Hawaii, Australia and New Zealand. After the war, he moved to California and started his own general contracting business in the Novato area.

John was preceded in death by his parents.

He is survived by sons, John Novak and Jeffrey Novak; sister, Geneva; and brothers, Frank, Richey, Bob, Willie, and James.
