Services for Arthur A. Callaway, 70, of Palestine, will be today at 2 p.m. in the Bailey & Foster Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Lynn Parker officiating. Burial will be in New Addition Annex Cemetery.

Mr. Callaway died Saturday in Anderson County Memorial Hospital following a lengthy illness.

He was born in Palestine on May 2, 1916, a son of Alex and Sallie Campbell Callaway. A retired carman for the Missouri-Pacific Railroad, he was a member of the First Baptist Church of Palestine.

Survivors include his wife, Mary; daughter, Andrea Jones of Houston; sisters, Mary Lois Quick of Palestine and Dorothy Custer of Kingsville, Texas, and two grandsons.

Pallbearers will be W.T. Walston, Joe Moore, Leland Reinhard, Dr. Barry James, Put Crabtree, Felix Hahn Jr., Darwin Mitchell and Cleburne Franks.
