Graveside services for Florence Watkins, 90, of Palestine, will be at 1 p.m. Tuesday in the Palestine City Cemetery with Dr. Barry Roberts officiating. Arrangements are under the direction of Bailey & Foster Funeral Home.

Mrs. Watkins died Saturday in the David E. Foster Hospice Unit at Palestine Regional Medical Center. She was born September 17, 1916 in Palestine to Richard Hart and Alice McCurdy Hart.

Mrs. Watkins was a homemaker. She was a member of the First Baptist Church.  She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband of 53-years Bruce Watkins who died in 1989.

She is survived by daughter Gayle Todd and husband Pete of Palestine, son Randy Watkins of Palestine; three grandchildren: Mark Owens and wife Cori, Miranda Tune and Jarrett Watkins, all of Palestine; three great-grandchildren: Alexis Owens, Zane Owens and Breydon Tune; and a cousin Edith Shaw of Bryan.

Condolences calls will be received today from 6 to 8 p.m. at Bailey & Foster Funeral Home. Memorials may be made to Hospice of East Texas, 4101 University Blvd, Tyler 75701.
