Services for Mary Catherine Huffman, 81, of Palestine, will be 10 a.m. Wednesday at the St. Philips Episcopal Church with the Rev. Mike Glenn officiating. Burial will follow at Land of Memory Cemetery under the direction of Bailey & Foster Funeral Home.
Mrs. Huffman died Sunday in a Palestine healthcare facility.
She was born June 30, 1916 in Palestine.
Mrs. Huffman was a member of St. Philips Episcopal Church and retired as vice president of women’s special services at East Texas National Bank after serving more than 48 years. She was a 50 year member of the Order of the Eastern Star No. 395 and also served as former treasurer of the Harvey Woman’s Club.
Also, she was a charter member and was presented a life membership in 1990 to the Palestine Evening Business and Professional Women’s Club. She was former secretary for Cartmell Home for the Aged and worked with the American Cancer Society for 30 years in many capacities.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Francis M. Huffman.
She is survived by a sister, Laura Cooper Whisman of Arlington; brother, Maurice Cooper of Palestine; and several nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers will be Phillip Gray, Cad Williams, Joe Crutcher, Jim Crook, Clyde Cooper, John Whisman and Ed McAlpine.
Honorary pallbearers will be Joe Ballard, Joe Laumen and John Saunders.
Condolence calls will be received from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. today at the funeral home.
