Services for Roy A. “Mutt” Moser will be at 10 a.m. Monday at Westwood Baptist Church with the Rev. Rick Dees and the Rev. Ken Dodson officiating. Burial will follow in Land of Memory Cemetery under the direction of Bailey & Foster, Palestine.
Mr. Moser died Thursday at Palestine Health Care Center.
He was born October 28, 1915, in Palestine to Jacob Luther and Nettie Rigsdale Moser.
Mr. Moser was a car man for Missouri Pacific Railroad. He was a member of the Railway Carmen Union. He also was a member of Westwood Baptist Church.
He was preceded in death by his parents; daughter-in-law, Merlene Sanders Moser; sisters, Drew Elrod, Odessa Blanton and Jean Price; and brother, Leo Moser.
Mr. Moser is survived by his wife of 67 years, Juanita Giles Moser of Palestine; sons, Dennis Moser and wife Julie, John Larry Moser and wife Billie Sue, all of Palestine; sisters, Evelyn Moore and Mable James, both of Palestine; brother, Leslie Moser of Waco; seven grandchildren, John David Moser, Dennis Russell Moser, James Anthony Moser, Robert Alan Moser, Kathleen Moser, Suzanne Hart and Mary LeAnne Moser; 11 great-grandchildren and one great-great grandchild.
Pallbearers will be John David Moser, Dennis Russell Moser, James Anthony Moser, Robert Alan Moser, Mark Hart and Doug Del Rosi.
Condolence calls will be received from 6 to 8 p.m. Sunday at Bailey & Foster, Palestine.
