Services for Beatrice Calcote Hortman, 77, of Port Neches, and formerly of Elkhart will be at 1 p.m. Friday at Bailey & Foster Funeral Home with Perry Jones officiating.  Burial will be at Garden of Memories Cemetery.

Mrs. Hortman died Tuesday at Mid Jefferson Hospital in Nederland.  She was born in Tennessee Colony on February 12, 1918, to James Gordon and Ruth Sephronia Marlow Calcote.  She was a homemaker.

Mrs. Hortman was a member of Elkhart Church of Christ and a volunteer for the Gray Lady Organization at Memorial Hospital in Palestine.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Elbert Lee Hortman, in 1988.

She is survived by her daughter, Helen Ruth Park of Pasadena and Shirley Mathis of Port Neches; sons, Larry Hortman of Waco and Frank Gordon Horton of Lufkin; sister Mary Grace Sowers of South Houston; 12 grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren.

Pallbearers will be Loren Thompson, Jerry Sheridan, Bobby Jones, Doyle Campbell, Thomas Vaughn and J.L. Parkman.

Condolence calls will be received from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. today at the funeral home.
