Graveside services for E. Durant Worley, 69, of Palestine, will be at 2 p.m. Thursday in the New Addition Annex, the Rev. Tom Potts officiating. Arrangements are by Hassell & Foster Funeral Home.

Mr. Worley died this morning in Anderson County Memorial Hospital after an extended illness.

A lifelong resident of Anderson County, he was born March 6, 1913, a son of the late John A. Worley and Louisa Bell Teel Worley. Before retiring, he was a pipeline engineer. He was an active member of First Christian Church where he was president of the Men’s Bible Class.

Survivors include his wife, Edwilla Brymer Worley of Palestine; two daughters, Mrs. Graham (Toby) Williams of Montalba and Mrs. Jerry (Jan) Lowe of Palestine; five grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

Condolence calls will be received at the Worley residence.
