Chester Hendrick 1931

Services for Chester Hendrick, 86, of Keller and formerly of Palestine, will be 2 p.m. Saturday in the Bailey & Foster Chapel. Burial will follow at Roselawn Park.

Mr. Hendrick died Thursday at the James L. West Care Center in Fort Worth.  He was born September 9, 1912, in Percilla, to C. C. and Lou Ola Rich Hendrick. He moved to Palestine and was a graduate of Palestine High School. He also lived in Mount Pleasant for many years.

Mr. Hendrick was a supervisor and retired from Lone Star Steel Company in 1978 after 22 years of service. He was a deacon in the First Baptist Church in Palestine as well as a Sunday School teacher and president of the L.L.L.  Mr. Hendrick was a member of the Kiwanis Club, the Odd Fellows Lodge, The American Cancer Society and Meals on Wheels.

He is survived by his wife, Olive Henson Hendrick of Keller; daughter, Linda Lou Black of Keller; son, Carlos Hendrick of Needville; brothers, Emmett Hendrick of Palestine and Coleman Hendrick of Ventura, California; five grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
