Funeral services will take place at the First Christian Church at 10 a.m. Tuesday for Connie DuPree, who died at 5:45 p.m. Sunday at his home, 1000 Micheaux. He was 49.

The service will be conducted by the pastor, the Rev. R.L. Badgett, and the Rev. R.C. Ross of Memorial Christian Church. Burial will be in New Addition Cemetery.  The body will be at Bailey Funeral Home, where the casket will be open only from 7 to 9 p.m. tonight.

Native of Palestine, Mr. DuPree had lived all his life here. For 16 years he was employed at the Texas Theater. Before that he worked for Missouri Pacific Lines in the General Office.

Pallbearers will be W.T. Sims, O.M. Jenkins, Ted Maffit, Gordon Tillman, R.P. Lowe and Artis Mosley.

Survivors are his widow, the former Orline Herrington; two sons, Richard and Russell and his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Pack DuPree all of Palestine; three brothers, J.W. of Texas City, Bill of Freeport, and Bob of Lafayette, La.; and a sister, Mrs. Joy Funderburk of Sierra Vista, Ariz.
