Services for Dorothy Frantzen, 92, of Palestine will be held Saturday, February 10, at 3 p.m. at the First Baptist Church with Rev. Jay Abernathy officiating. Burial will follow in Roselawn Park under the direction of Bailey & Foster Funeral Home, Palestine.
Mrs. Frantzen died Tuesday at Palestine Regional Medical Center.
She was born May 31, 1914 in Palestine to Marion Andrew and Tommie Williams Moser.
Mrs. Frantzen was a legal secretary. She was an active member of the First Baptist Church for 83 years, a member of the Garden Club, and Business and Professional Women’s Club.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Raymond “Dutch” Frantzen in 1994; and three sisters, Fay Coker, Marie Coker and Lois Darneal.
Mrs. Frantzen is survived by her son, Glen Frantzen and wife Elsa of Quito, Ecuador; daughter, Harriet Westmoreland and husband Terry of Tyler; five grandchildren, Lauren Ellis and husband Keith of Athens, Erin Westmoreland, Jessica Frantzen, Michael Frantzen and Robert Westmoreland; and two great grandchildren, Shane and Evan Ellis.
Pallbearers will be Larry Frantzen, Don Frantzen, Sonny Carpenter, Keith Ellis, Errol Coker and Andrew Moseley. Honorary pallbearers are grandsons Michael Frantzen and Robert Westmoreland.
Visitation will be received from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday at Bailey & Foster Funeral Home in Palestine.
