Services for Virginia Moore Rosson 85, of Palestine, will be at 10 A.M. Saturday at First Presbyterian Church with Dr. Jeff Cover officiating. Burial will follow at Roselawn Park under the direction of Bailey & Foster Funeral Home.
Mrs. Rosson died Thursday night at her Palestine residence.
She was born July 6, 1913, in Palestine. She was a graduate of Palestine High School, a member of First Presbyterian Church, president of the Women’s Bible Class, a charter member of Harvey Women’s Club and a former member of the Pionette Garden Club.
Mrs. Rosson was employed for several years in the Anderson County District Clerk’s office. She also had been a florist for McReynolds Florist Shop in the 1940’s and was a homemaker.
She is survived by her husband, Maurice Rosson of Palestine; daughters, Mrs. Cliff (Jimmye) Patterson of Palestine and Mrs. Maurice (Nancy) Stewart of Dallas; sisters, Claire Elizabeth Patrick of Palestine and Patricia Ann Herrington of Seagoville; four grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be Maurice Stewart, Cliff Patterson, Jeffrey Patterson, Jim Bob Patterson, Bobby Stewart and Chris Hoover.
If desired, memorials may be made to Hospice of East Texas.
