Services for Joye Sandefur Moore, 93 of Palestine, will be held at 1 p.m. Tuesday in the Bailey & Foster Chapel with the Rev. Scott Dornbush officiating. Burial will be in Palestine City Cemetery’s New Addition Annex.

Mrs. Moore died Friday at her home.  She was born August 30, 1912 in Orange, to Everett Earnest Sandefur and Mary Elizabeth Smith Sandefur.

Mrs. Moore was a member of the First United Methodist Church and past president of Christian Services of the church. She attended Palestine High School and Nixon’s Business College. Mrs. Moore served as office manager of Moore Motor Company, owned and operated by her husband Frank Wesley Moore until the business closed.

Mrs. Moore was preceded in death by her parents, and husband of sixty years who died in 1997. She is survived by cousins: Retha Still of Corpus Christi and Ruby Darrell Appl of Tyler, and other relatives and close friends.
