Services for Jonibel Tomkins, 78, of Palestine will be 2 p.m. Friday at Westwood United Methodist Church with the Revs. Homer Polk and Tim Bruster officiating. Burial will be at Tennessee Colony Cemetery under the direction of Bailey & Foster Funeral Home.

Mrs. Tomkins died Thursday at Villa Inn of Westwood.

She was born in Tennessee Colony on October 16, 1910, a daughter of James Albert DuPuy and Eula Mae Wofford DuPuy. She was a member of Westwood United Methodist Church and the Women’s Society at the church.

She is survived by her husband, Guy N. Tomkins of Palestine; daughters, Mary Hulin of Beaumont and Sylvia McKay of Lake Palestine; sister Lucille Keeling of Palestine; three grandchildren; and one great grandchild.

Condolence calls will be received from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. today at the funeral home.

Pallbearers will be J.M. Weaver, R.W. Crawford, Alton Southerland, J.D. Lightfoot, James Ives, H.O. Martin, Howard Hilton and C.J. Marshall.
