Services for Mary Louise Redwine Doss, 93, of College Station will be at 1 p.m. Monday at Forest Park Lawndale Cemetery in Houston. Arrangements are under the direction of Herrington/Land of Memory Funeral Home in Palestine.

Mrs. Doss died Wednesday after a brief illness at Cartmell Home for Aged in Palestine.

She was born November 11, 1909, in Anderson County to Jacob Edward and Mallie Boyer Sammons Redwine.

Mrs. Doss was reared in Anderson County and had lived in Houston before her retirement to College Station in 1975. She worked 41 years as a secretary for Forest Park Cemetery and was a member of Park Place United Methodist Church in Houston. She was a member of the Order of the Eastern Star Chapter 222 in Bryan.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 68 years, James M. Doss, in March 2001.

Mrs. Doss is survived by daughter and son-in-law, Linda Gayle and Leroy Suttles of Palestine; granddaughter and grandson-in-law, Allandra and Eddy Kitchens of Magnolia; great-grandson, Hunter James Kitchens of Magnolia; sisters-in-law, Frances and Eula Mae Doss of Houston; aunt, Irene Scasta of Bryan; numerous cousins, nieces, nephews and friends.

Visitation will be held from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home.
