Services for Eva Rodgers, 81, of Palestine will be 2 P.M. Friday at Bailey & Foster Funeral Home with Dr. Charles Kincaid officiating. Burial will be at New Addition Cemetery.

Mrs. Rodgers died Wednesday in a local nursing home.

She was born in Palestine on November 10, 1905, a daughter of Thomas Lamar and Jenie Bassett Slaughter. She was a member of First Christian Church.

Survivors include her husband, John K. Rodgers of Palestine; son, William B. Rodgers of Anchorage, Alaska; sisters, Louise Hill of Tyler and Virginia Dawson of Dallas and two grandchildren.

Pallbearers will be Thomas Hill, Alan Hill, Orrin Forbes, Clifford Bassett and Byron Marshman.
