Services for Madeline Gray, 85, of Austin, and formerly of Palestine, will be at 3 p.m. Tuesday at St. Philip’s Episcopal Church with the Rev. Eugene Blankenship and Rev. Mike Glenn officiating.  Burial will be at Land of Memory Cemetery under the direction of Herington / Land of Memory.

Mrs. Gray died Sunday at an Austin nursing home after a length illness.  She was born in Palestine on September 1, 1910 to John and Lida Ann Fox.

She was a member of St. Philip’s Episcopal Church, the Altar Guild and St. Mary’s Guild.  She was preceded in death by her husband, Lyle H. Gray in 1969.

Se is survived by her son, Joe E. Ellis of Austin; niece, Kaki Rogers of Palestine; two grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.

Pallbearers will be Frank George, Marley Styner, Rex Stodghill, Philip Gray and Don Forister.

Memorials may be made to St. Philip’s Episcopal Church Altar Guild or to a charity of the donor’s choice.
